The Role
The SAP User Experience team defines the face of the SAP products. We have dramatically simplified our user experience with SAP Fiori (https://experience.sap.com/fiori). We are now looking for you as a passionate interaction designer to join us in driving this change going forward.
As part of the SAP UX Design team, you are going to work on evolving the SAP Fiori Design System to the next level. Key tasks and responsibilities for this role would be – creating new concepts, preparation of specifications and enablement assets (e. g. guidance articles) for UX design components.
You ensure the relevance of your designs working closely with technology and application units within SAP and exposing concepts and designs to customers and end users for feedback. You are passionate about interaction design and empathic towards end-users. You will define and communicate new responsive interaction concepts or build upon and extend existing concepts on a level of controls, patterns and floorplans. Abstracting and generalizing requirements is necessary to ensure relevance and scale of your work.
You feel responsible for your work and accompany your concepts throughout the development life cycle, and you are continuously broadening your horizon on design methodologies, technologies and upcoming trends.
You will become part of an exciting and international design team of over 100 designers that works in the heart of SAP that operates across organizational boundaries with touch points to all continents and cultures
Role Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in interaction design (ideally application design or design concepts)
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing a wide range of design work
- Strong understanding of fundamental design principles, user-centered design methods, and design processes
- You can visualize your concepts in a clear, structured and compelling way
- Verification of user interface designs through reviews, validations and format usability testing with end users
- You have the ability to abstract and generalize requirements and manage the end-to-end user experience for a product or product line
- Ability to frame problems clearly, bring in original ideas and approaches to solving them and persuasively communicate the most compelling solutions
- Proven ability to interact and coordinate with teams in multi-site international locations
- You are continuously broadening your horizon on design methodologies, technologies and upcoming trends
- Experience in agile and scrum methodologies is a plus
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written) and German
