As a member of the Accounting Operations function, you will be responsible for overseeing the intercompany operations onshore and offshore teams ensuring accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and reporting of intercompany transactions supporting the Nestlé in the Market (NIM).  You will collaborate with various teams within the organization to streamline intercompany processes and maintain strong relationships across different entities. This position will also lead the intercompany workstream for NUSA deconsolidation. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

* Manage the intercompany accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
* Lead the deconsolidation project of our SAP system, which involves separating a unified SAP environment into individual instances for different business units or entities
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations to ensure smooth execution of the deconsolidation project
* Oversee intercompany account reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly
* Develop and maintain intercompany accounting standard operating procedures, guidelines, and controls to ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives for intercompany activities
* Continuously evaluate and improve automated processes to achieve maximum efficiency
* Review financial statements and schedules related to intercompany transactions for internal and external reporting quarterly
* Coordinate with intercompany counterparts to resolve any reconciliation differences and ensure intercompany balances are properly eliminated during consolidation
* Responsible for escalation management to ensure timely resolution, and to drive down aged intercompany balances
* Conduct yearly performance evaluations, set performance goals, and provide feedback and coaching to team members
* Ensure Intercompany transactions are recorded accurately for acquisition, mergers, and divestitures
* Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

 

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s Degree, CPA or other relevant certifications are preferred
* Proven experience of minimum 7+ years in managing accounting operations
* 3+ years of experience in leading/supervising others
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plus
* Proven ability to leverage performance, development, and talent to build people capabilities
* Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to inspire others to deliver exceptional results
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
* Continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to process optimization
* Ability and desire to develop digital solutions, with proven skills in the following areas Data awareness
* Visualization
* Communication
* Business partnering
